VSEの特性及びVSEの受ける便益
この附属書は,本文の記述を補足するために,対応国際規格の第1部(Part 1)のVSEの特性などに関
する記述(箇条4)を抄訳したものであり,規定の一部ではない。
JB.1 概要
VSEは,その法的な形式がどうであるかによらず,ソフトウェア実装活動に従事する25名以下の組織
とする。VSEは,企業組織全体(登記されている場合も,されていない場合もある),企業組織内のグル
ープ,又は企業組織内のプロジェクトのいずれでもよい。また,VSEは,単一組織であってもよいし,共
同組織であってもよい。
JB.2 VSEの特性
VSEの活動の内容,性質,及び範囲は,多くの特性,ニーズ,及び望ましい力量の影響を受ける。VSE
プロファイルは,VSEの特性,ニーズ,及び望ましい力量を四つのカテゴリーに分類して示し,VSE像を
表現している。四つのカテゴリーとは,財務及び資源,顧客インタフェース,内部ビジネスプロセス,並
びに,学習及び成長である。
VSEは,場合によっては,他の企業又は企業連合の指揮の下で,契約又は合意の要求事項を満たしつつ,
全体のソフトウェア開発ライフサイクルの中の限定された任務を果たすことを期待される。それらの任務
は,作業記述書に従って,ソフトウェア実装プロジェクトの一部であってもよい。VSEはそれ自体の力量
によって選択されるか,又はプロジェクトの入札によって選択される。
JB.3 VSEの受ける便益
VSEの観点からすれば,この規格類の利用によって得られる便益には,内部のソフトウェア管理プロセ
スの改善,顧客の信頼及び満足の向上,ソフトウェア品質の向上,プロセス改善への支援の増加,並びに
開発リスクの低減が含まれる。これらの便益は,競争力及び市場占有率の増加を助けることがあってもよ
い。
