まえがき

  この規格は,工業標準化法に基づいて,日本工業標準調査会の審議を経て,通商産業大臣が改正した日
本工業規格である。これによってJIS Z 4001 : 1991は改正され,この規格に置き換えられる。
JIS Z 4001には,次に示す附属書がある。

序文 この規格は,1997年に第2版として発行されたISO 921, Nuclear energy−Vocabulary, 1996年に第1
版として発行された,IEC 60050-393, International Electrotechnical Vocabulary−Chapter 393 : Nuclear
instrumentation : Physical phenomena and basic concepts及び1995年に第1版として発行された,IEC
60050-394, International Electrotechnical Vocabulary−Chapter 394 : Nuclear instrumentation : Instrumentsを基に
作成した日本工業規格(日本産業規格)であるが,対応国際規格には規定されていない用語を日本工業規格(日本産業規格)として追加して
いる。
原子力分野では,周知のように国際原子力機関 (IAEA) 及び世界保健機構 (WHO) はじめ国際放射線防護
委員会 (ICRP) などの国際機関が,技術的指針・規格又は勧告を発行し,国際協力協定(二国間又は他国
間協定を含む)や国の法規制とともに,それぞれの国の原子力開発とその利用に影響を及ぼしている。も
とより,国際用語規格の原案を作成したISO及びIECの原子力関係専門委員会も,これら国際機関とも提
携し,それらの動向を反映させるべく努力している。しかし,何分にも原案を作成してから発行までにか
なりの時間が経過し,用語の採録とその定義について,最近の原子力分野の技術進歩を完全に反映してい
るとはいい難い点もないわけではない。さらに,ISOとIECとでは,対象とする分野が異なることから,
用語の採録に偏りがあり,また定義の表現について両者の間に差のあることも否めない。
この規格を利用するに当たっては,以上の点に十分留意することが必要である。またこの規格で規定する
用語のうち,国際規格番号が空白の用語は,対応国際規格にはない用語である。
なお,上記IEC規格番号は,1997年1月1日から実施のIEC規格新番号体系によるものである。これに
従い前に発行された規格については,規格票に記載された規格番号60000を加えた番号に切り替える。こ
れは,番号だけの切替えであり内容は同一である。
1. 適用範囲 この規格は,工業などで用いる原子力に関する主な用語とその定義について規定する。
備考1. この規格に掲げた用語の定義は,この規格内で規定する用語相互間でまず整合するように定
義している。またこの規格の果たす役割を考慮して,一般性をもつ定義としている。このた
め,この規格の用語を他の原子力関連の規格の中で使用するときは,この規格を基にそれぞ
れの規格の中で,必要に応じて改めて定義すべきものである。
2. 次に示す規格は,この規格の対応国際規格である。
