1 Scope

ISO 23704-1 specifies the concept and fundamental principles of Cyber-Physically controlled Smart Machine Tool systems (CPSMT), including:

  • The capabilities of a CPSMT.

ISO 23704-1 also gives in the annexes:

  • The background for a CPSMT
  • Concept of a shop floor device system, and
  • Example use cases of the reference architecture of a CPSMT.
